How do I book? Please refer to our booking page on the website, you can pick and choose a date/time in your favourite area if it’s free.
How do I pay? You can pay online through our payment gateway, Stripe. You will receive payment confirmation and your gate code information via email.
How far in advance or late can I book? We are very happy to receive all bookings. All bookings are secured when payment has been received and cleared. Short notice bookings are available as long as you have time to arrive and your payment has been cleared. Advance bookings are always available but will only be secured when payment has been received and cleared.
How do I open the lock? The gate to your private area has a code. On each gate you’ll find a padlock. Put in the code, squeeze the silver hoop and bottom of the padlock together and it will spring open. To lock the padlock, scramble the code and squeeze the silver hoop and bottom of the padlock together.
I am unable to open the lock? Please call Wendy on 07950020820 if no staff are on site.
When do I receive the gate codes? You will receive a confirmation email which will confirm your booking and gate code
How do I amend my booking? This can be done online on the My Account page, Alternatively you can contact Wendy
Will there be other people/ dogs in the area I’ve booked? No, we only offer 1 hour private hire for each area. However, other people and dogs may be in the adjoining areas.
If a group of us want to come together, What is your maximum number of dogs? Online account holders can book up to 4 dogs. Additional dogs are welcome as long as they socialise together out with our dog park. Please contact Wendy to make arrangements.
I arrive early. What do I do? Please wait in your car until your session starts. It is very important to remember that other people using our areas may have dogs with issues such as fear aggression, reactive to humans or dogs, anxiety problems, etc.
Who is classed as the responsible person in charge of our booking? The person who made and paid for the booking is classed as the Responsible Person. They must ensure their group follows all our guidelines and rules.
What is supplied in each field? We supply drinking water for dogs. A well equipped First Aid kit suitable for dogs and humans and spare poop bags. Can be found in the red box in each area and in the purple tube on our rear fences. Each area has a large field shelter, picnic bench, waterproof cushions, a sanitising station, shovel and watering can.
What happens if there are adverse weather conditions or you or your dog is ill, etc? A text alert will be sent to everyone that has booked during the affected times. A credit will be offered to any customer affected by the closure. However travels costs will not be credited. If we need to close due to adverse weather conditions a text alert will be sent to everyone who has booked during the affected times. A credit will be offered to any customer who is affected by the closure of our facilities due to bad weather conditions, however please note that travel costs will not be credited. If you are unable to attend for your booked session due to illness (you or your dog), Please call or message Wendy as soon as you possibly can. Any refund for your booking in these circumstances is at the discretion of the Management.
Where do we park? Let the Dogs Run has a private car park on site for people using Mutley’s Play Park and Our Wild and Woody Wood. If you have booked Archie’s Freedom Field, it has its own private car park, suitable for 3 small cars or two large vehicles.. Please use our main car park as an overflow to park additional cars. Please park front first so that dogs can be taken out into the center of our car park.
What is your dog poop policy? All dog poo must be cleaned up, bagged in a sealed dog poo bag and and binned in the bin provided in our reception area. If using Archie’s Freedom Field there is a poo bin provided in the field. We encourage the use of compostable poop bags. Spare poo bags are supplied in each area in the red box and in the purple tube on the rear fence in each area. All dog poop is disposed in line with PKC Regulations. A shovel and watering can is supplied in each area to assist with the cleaning up of any loose dog poo. Please remove all evidence of your dog poo even if it means picking the grass!
Do you have toilets? Yes, we do! Our portable toilet can be located in our main reception area. For privacy it is tucked away between our stable and tractor shed. It is sanitised every week. As with all portable toilet’s please flush before and after!
Is there a shelter in each area? Yes, there is! Each of our field shelters come complete with a picnic table suitable for 6 people, waterproof cushions. Each picnic table has a sanitising station which enables people to wipe the tables if they bring a snack or picnic. Our resident birds love to roost in our shelters and often leave a wee present! Our picnic benches are a paw free zone out of respect for those who wish to eat off them!
Is there any livestock, people or wildlife nearby? Yes, sometimes have livestock in our neighbouring fields. We often see dog walkers, cyclists, horses and riders, deer, pheasants and hares wandering past our facility. All dogs must be on a lead unless they are in one of our exercise areas.
Can I bring my own dog toys? Yes, you may but all toys must be removed at the end of your session.
Training aids. Can I bring any? We only accept legal training aids. We do not accept the use of harsh training at our facility.
Where can I wash my muddy dog? We have a lovely wee burn accessed from the car park. Please remember this area is not secure – please keep your dogs on a long line or lead. Our burn has a deep pool and shallow parts which allows your dog to have a wash or simply cool off! Alternatively, outside our main reception area you can find a water butt and bucket for the washing of dogs who don’t like running water.
Where do I find your address, postcode and What3Words if I need an emergency service? Our address and contact details can be located on our Fire Action Plans which are displayed inside and outside reception, in our double entry gateway system, and above our red boxes in each exercise areas. We also have signs for What3Words. They can be found in our reception and above each red box. A description of what What3words is in each field shelter and our reception..
I don’t have online banking and I can’t organise an online account? Not a problem, contact Wendy and she will explain our Plan B.
