We have neighbours across the road from us who were there before we opened. It’s a high priority of ours that they are not disturbed in any way particularly by excessive noise coming from the dog park!
If your dog/s get over stimulated by running free, playing with toys or other dogs in the neighbouring areas or your area. Please come prepared to offer distractions and practice training methods to distract them. You may need to put them on a lead and/ or reduce the duration of your visit. Dogs running up and down our fence lines can cause other dogs to get over-stimulated and in some cases start a fight within their group! We strongly discourage this type of behaviour.
It may be that a few shorter sessions work best for your dog to start with until they calm down and get used to our fascility and the stimulation it can offer. For help with distraction strategies please call Wendy for help and advice.
Our neighbours live here all year round, you mayhave booked in for an hour but they are here 24/7! We are open for a maximum of 12 hours a day during the summer and that’s a lot of noise if people aren’t considerate regarding noise during their bookings!
Let The Dogs Run reserves the right to ask people to calm their dogs down during a session by either distraction or lead methods or ask them to leave early. We also reserve the right to ask that after a few visits, if we feel that the situation hasn’t improved and we have observed that no attempt to improve the situation has been taken, we will ask that you don’t rebook until your dog’s over-stimulation improves. However, we are here to help and will be very happy to recommend alternative smaller dog exercise parks or trainers which may be able to help you and your dog!
